Chapter1.
General Provision
Article 1. Purpose
The purpose of this Terms and Conditions is to set forth rights, obligations and information protection, and related procedures of the Company and its members in relation to the use of members, compensation, services and customer support provided by RENEW LABS Corporation. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company").
Article 2. Definition of terms
The definitions of the terms used in this Terms and Conditions are as follows.
1) Member: The term "member" means a person who uses the services provided by the company with the approval of the company's application for membership under these terms and conditions. The term "member" means a collective term, including all of the following "full member", "sub- member" and "student member-minor," and a non-user who has not experienced the service of the company or whose membership has been lost due to the reasons under Article 7 of these terms and conditions is defined as a "non-member."
① Full member: Subscribers who have agreed to these terms and conditions and personal information processing policies (consent to collect and use personal information) through the company's website and mobile app, and have completed mobile phone authentication according to the set subscription procedure.
② Sub-member: A user with a history of using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) who enters his/her personal mobile number according to the procedure(installed/operated) for using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine).
③ Student member: A user under 14 who wish to use this service can register as members with the consent of their parents, legal guardian or other legal representatives.
2) The term "resource" means materials that the Company recovers through RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and related services - recyclable items including plastic (PET, PP, etc.), and CAN (aluminum, iron, etc.). The resources that the Company recovers may be expanded/changed or reduced/cancelled depending on the market and service environment.
3) The term "service" means all activities provided to members and non-members through the company's website and mobile app, RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), operational services, and programs as well as activities.
4) The term "ID" means a customer identifier that is essential for using the company’s services and customer support. Member ID is the same as your personal mobile phone number. Specific details regarding ID are as stipulated in <Article 15> of these Terms and Conditions.
5) The term "Point" means goods given to a member account issued by the company as compensation for the resources invested by the member using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and if you accumulate more than a certain point, you can use them like cash. In addition, the company can also provide points as compensation for services and events provided by the company. Details on the accumulation and use of points are as stipulated in Chapter 3 of this Agreement.
① Available Points: Points secured through services provided by the company, meaning ‘currant points’ do not include points converted into cash by members.
② Accumulated Points: This refers to the ‘total points’ obtained from the time the member used the services provided by the company. Points that have already been converted to cash are also added to the accumulated points.
③ Redeeming points: Among the points accumulated by a member, these refer to points that can be converted to cash in excess of the conversion standard amount set by the company.
④ Redeemed Points: used by a member other than cash conversion among the points held by the member.
⑤ Redeemed Cash Points: points that have already been converted into cash among cash convertible points held by members.
⑥ Reward Points Minimums: reward points may be capped at a minimum value required for redemption. You will not be able to use your reward points until you accrue a minimum number of points, at which point they will become available for redemption.
⑦ Managing Points: You have the ability to view and manager your points through your member account, From your account you will be able to view your total points, minimum needed o redeem, whether you have reached the maximum points limit and a cumulative history of points acquired, redeemed and lost.
6) "Homepage" means a website that provides the company’s information and services online.
7) "Mobile Application" means an overview for smartphones that allows the Company to provide a list of the Company’s information and services through smartphones and mobile devices. The mobile app in these terms and conditions is used in the same sense as the ‘RenewTok App’, and the company provides iOS (for iPhone) and AOS (for Android) apps respectively.
8) "RenewTok" is a company's artificial intelligence reverse vending machine developed to separate/collect recyclable resources. The company develops and operates various versions of "RenewTok" that collect PET, CAN, and more, and it will be released in various versions depending on the timing, specifications, and cost of production.
9) "Field Service" includes a series of on and offline services and customer support, including the installation and management of machines and repair and components, software updates, and customer support, as well as additional classification, collection, and movement of resource material sorting by the Company through RenewTok(Reverse Vending Machine) into the correct recycling process (Circular Economy) cycle.
10) "Affiliate/Affiliate Customer (Client)" refers to all businesses that have cooperated with the company through the purchase and operation service contracts of the company's circular resource robots, partnership and cooperative businesses, schools, individuals and organizations that have contracted for programs, and high-end recycling flakes (R-Flakes) that have been materialized by recycling plastic resources.
Article 3. Posting and revising Terms and Conditions
1) The Company will post these terms and conditions before using the services provided by the Company, and allow the Members to verify the material content of these terms and conditions.
2) Based on the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions Regulation Act"), the company protects the rights and interests of members by posting the contents in a manner that is fully understandable in case there is a revision of important business content or items that are unfavorable to members. and at the same time ensure fair effect.
3) If you wish to amend these terms and conditions, the company will notify you in the following procedure and method to ensure that there is no disadvantage in the use of the service by the members.
① Revision of general items: Changes will be announced 14 days prior to implementation.
② Revision of important business changes of the company or unfavorable items to members: Announce changes 30 days prior to implementation.
③ The Company will notify members of changes to these Terms and Conditions using all available means during the above notice period.

4) The revised terms and conditions that satisfy the conditions of <Article 3, Paragraph 2> of these terms and conditions will take effect from the enforcement date announced in advance. The above notification method and effect of notification shall apply mutatis mutandis to the notices or notices stipulated in each provision of these terms and conditions, unless otherwise provided in these terms and conditions. The effective date of the Terms and Conditions can be confirmed in the <Supplementary Provisions> of these Terms and Conditions.
5) Members who have objections to the revision of these Terms and Conditions may withdraw membership, and members who do not withdraw membership by the effective date of the revised Terms and Conditions are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms and Conditions.4. In the event that a member doesn’t agree to the revision of these Terms and Conditions, the Company may terminate the use contract with the member.
Article 4. Interpretation of the Terms and Conditions
1) If the matters individually agreed upon between the company and the user are different from the matters stipulated in these Terms and Conditions, the agreed terms shall take precedence over these Terms and Conditions.
2) Regarding the handling of matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions and matters not agreed upon in advance between the parties, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Information and Communications Network Act"), the Electronic Commerce Act, the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, the Terms and Conditions Regulation Act, etc. Domestic laws and regulations are followed, and other commercial practices apply.
Chapter2.
Membership Policy
Article 5. Register as a member
1) Membership registration is carried out through established procedures on the company website and mobile app. The applicant becomes a member by agreeing to these Terms of Use and the Personal Information Processing Policy and filling out the application information required by the Company, and at the same time, a service agreement with the Company is established.
① Applicants for membership must possess an electronic device capable of verifying their identity, such as a mobile phone or tablet registered with a telecommunications company in their name.
② Applicants for membership must apply for membership in their own name and must pass identity verification conducted through an identity verification agency, etc.
③ The Company may refuse membership registration only if it is not in the name of the applicant, or if the membership is already registered, if it is contrary to these Terms and Conditions and other matters determined by the Company.
④ The Company may not approve an application for membership in the name of a corporation, or take measures such as restricting use or terminating the service agreement even after approval.
2) Members cannot transfer their membership to others or use it for loan, security or collateral purposes.
3) However, exceptions shall be made only under the following conditions in cases where normal activities are difficult, such as the death or missing of a member.
① Membership can be transferred only to the heir themselves by submitting evidentiary documents within the validity period of three months issued by the member's heir.
② The company can determine the authenticity of the evidentiary documents submitted by the heirs and reject the transfer request based on expert advice and existing precedents
Article 6. Withdraw membership
1) Membership withdrawal is possible at any time on the company website or mobile app. The company receives membership withdrawal requests requested by members through established procedures and promptly carries out all necessary procedures.
2) When requesting membership withdrawal, the company obtains consent to delete and destroy related data and points held. Since the company cannot store related data for users who are not members, membership withdrawal is not possible if you do not agree to this.
3) Once membership withdrawal is completed according to normal procedures, all data related to the member will be deleted and destroyed, and all membership qualifications will be lost. At the same time, the service agreement with the company is automatically terminated.
Article7. Termination and Suspension of Membership
1) The Company may terminate, suspend or dismiss its membership as a notification to the member if the member falls under any of the following.
① Where false information is registered or the name of another person is stolen when applying for membership
② Attempt to impersonate another user or person or use the username of another user.
③ Make any unauthorized use of the Site, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of users by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email, or creating user accounts by automated means or under false pretenses.
④ In the case of accumulating points from another person's account or applying for cash conversion of points from another person's account (Unauthorized use)
⑤ If you have used the company's services or accumulated points in an unauthorized and illegal manner that is not allowed (unauthorized accumulation)
- If the company’s devices and systems are hacked
- If points are accumulated repeatedly by using system errors or unknown bugs, etc.
- When more than 2 points are accumulated with 1 resource, etc.
⑥ Repeated acts that deliberately damage the company's assets or cause device failure
- When the entire and part of the equipment operated by the company, related accessories, etc. have been damaged or caused a failure
- In the case of causing a failure by injecting trash, waste, dirt, etc. into the company's equipment, causing a malfunction
- When the device's power supply and Internet connection are damaged/separated to interfere with normal device operation and operation, etc.
- Systematically retrieve data or other content from the Site to create or compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database, or directory without written permission from us
- Trick, defraud, or mislead us and other users, especially in any attempt to learn sensitive account information such as user passwords
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Site, including features that prevent or restrict the use or copying of any Content or enforce limitations on the use of the Site and/or the Content contained therein
- Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) viruses, Trojan horses, or other material, including excessive use of capital letters and spamming (continuous posting of repetitive text), that interferes with any party’s uninterrupted use and enjoyment of the Site or modifies, impairs, disrupts, alters, or interferes with the use, features, functions, operation, or maintenance of the Site.
- Engage in any automated use of the system, such as using scripts to send comments or messages, or using any data mining, robots, or similar data gathering and extraction tools.
- Delete the copyright or other proprietary rights notice from any Content.
- Upload or transmit (or attempt to upload or to transmit) any material that acts as a passive or active information collection or transmission mechanism, including without limitation, clear graphics interchange formats ("gifs"), 1×1 pixels, web bugs, cookies, or other similar devices (sometimes referred to as "spyware" or "passive collection mechanisms" or "pcms").
- Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Site or the networks or services connected to the Site.
- Attempt to bypass any measures of the Site designed to prevent or restrict access to the Site, or any portion of the Site.
- Copy or adapt the Site’s software, including but not limited to Flash, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, or other code.
- Except as permitted by applicable law, decipher, decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the Site
- Except as may be the result of standard search engine or Internet browser usage, use, launch, develop, or distribute any automated system, including without limitation, any spider, robot, cheat utility, scraper, or offline reader that accesses the Site, or using or launching any unauthorized script or other software.
- Use the Site as part of any effort to compete with us or otherwise use the Site and/or the Content for any revenue-generating endeavor or commercial enterprise
⑦ In the case of defaming the company, executives and employees, and other third parties
- Where abusive language, personal infringement, obstruction of business, intimidation, etc. are used against counselors
- Cases of deliberately obstructing business, such as abusive language, personal infringement, assault, etc., to employees operating RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), etc.
- Disparage, tarnish, or otherwise harm, in our opinion, us and/or the Site
- Use any information obtained from the Site in order to harass, abuse, or harm another person.
- Make improper use of our support services or submit false reports of abuse or misconduct
- Use the Site in a manner inconsistent with any applicable laws or regulations
- Harass, annoy, intimidate, or threaten any of our employees or agents engaged in providing any portion of the Site to you.
⑧ In the event of continuing/repeating an act that violates the rights of others or is not permitted in everyday socially acceptance.
- If you harass, annoy, abusive language, violate personality, violence or threaten other users using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine).
- In the case of exclusive use of one or more RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) as an act that falls under Article 7, Paragraph 1 ② of these Term and Conditions.
- If you leave plastic bottles or cans around RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) or dispose of any sort of wastes without permission.
- When using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), if you violate order, such as cutting in line, or disrespectable to other users thereby infringing on the rights of other users to use RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine). Please do respect other users.
⑨ Where it is deemed to violate other relevant laws and regulations
2) If a member's qualifications are lost/suspended due to an act that falls under <Article 7, Paragraph 1) of these Terms and Conditions, the Company may take the following follow-up measures.
① The member may be notified of the reason for loss or suspension of membership and take measures such as suspension of service use and withdrawal of membership.
② If this interferes with the work of the customer center, consultation and response may be temporarily terminated to protect the consultation and operation staff.
③ In order to protect the rights of other members, normal company service restrictions may be taken (non-accumulation of points, inability to exchange cash, extinguishment of negatively accumulated points, etc.).
④ If, despite the above measures, you continue to interfere with work or repeatedly, the company may revoke your membership and restrict you from re-registering for the service with the same personal information.
⑤ If a member's qualifications are lost in this way, the user's personal information will be retained for 3 years after taking action based on the laws and regulations below to prevent future unauthorized use of the service, prevent additional damage to other members, and protect the rights of other members.
- Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution: kept for 3 years (Electronic Commerce Act)
- Information held: Information entered when registering as a member, such as mobile phone number, name, date of birth, etc., and records of illegal use
- Deletion and expiration information: member points, normal use records, etc.
3) Members may explain their opinions and circumstances within a maximum of 30 days from the date of receiving notification of loss or suspension of membership due to prohibited acts in this Terms and Conditions. The company will faithfully review the member's explanation and materials and notify the parties of the results within a maximum of 30 days. Depending on the results of the clarification, the membership may be restored or lost or suspended.
4) If a member commits an act prohibited by this Terms and conditions, the member may be restricted from using the service and may take legal action, such as claiming compensation for damages or filing a complaint with judicial authorities. In particular, in cases where unfair profits have occurred through illegal use or fraudulent acquisition, the company may take the same legal action against members and cooperators/sympathizers.
5) Items not mentioned in separate provisions regarding loss or suspension of membership will be processed in accordance with the general membership withdrawal process.
Article 8. Special regulation for membership registration for user under 14
Based on the mobile phone authentication procedure stipulated in <Article 5> of these Terms and Conditions, the Company takes measures to ensure that users under the age of 14 who wish to use this service can register as members with the consent of their parents, legal guardian or other legal representatives.
Chapter3.
Compensation Policy
Article 9. Accumulation and use of points
1) The company compensates members by paying them points based on the resources they have accumulated through RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine).
2) The reward method for points for accumulating recyclable circulating resources is as follows.
① Accumulated Reward Points = Number of recyclable resources inserted x Accumulation rate specified by the company (or affiliate)
- Accumulation rates may be provided differently depending on the type of resource, period, region, and affiliate policy.
- The maximum number of resources that can be invested daily may be provided differently depending on time, region, affiliate policy, etc.
② The company will post/promote the maximum number of resources that can be invested per day per member so that it can be confirmed when using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), and at the same time, provide continuous guidance during the process of customer service inquiries and civil complaint counseling to ensure member use. We do our best to avoid any inconvenience.
③ If a member uses RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and exceeds the daily input amount, the company will never provide additional compensation for the excess input resources. Additionally, no separate compensation is paid for resources that have already been recovered.
④ Points may not be accumulated depending on the policies of the company and affiliates, and the maximum limit may be set depending on the specified period (daily/monthly).
⑤ If there is an error in accumulating points, the member must apply for correction to the company within 30 days from the time of the error, and the company can correct it within 30 days from the date of the member's correction request. However, if the company requests, the member must present data that can prove the error in accumulating points.
3) In addition, points can be paid according to various marketing activities such as various programs organized by the company and events and promotions. In this case, other compensation standards other than points may apply
4) If the company decides to provide accumulated points for purposes such as 'donation' in accordance with the company's and affiliates' policies, it may choose to donate the resources to local governments and designated organizations, etc., rather than directly compensating the individual who accumulated the resources. there is. In this case, we will also attach/promote the information so that it can be checked when using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), and provide continuous guidance during the process of customer service inquiries and civil complaints, etc. to ensure that there is no inconvenience to members.
5) Points that can be exchanged for cash are set at a minimum amount according to the standards set by the company, and can be converted to cash in increments. However, points that can be exchanged for cash may change depending on the company's policy and market conditions.
6) Applications for cash exchange can only be made with points held in the member's account, and only with a bank account in the member's name. Therefore, cash exchange at the request of family members or acquaintances other than yourself is absolutely not possible. In accordance with <Article 7> and <Article 22> of these Terms and Conditions, if unfair profits occur through illegal use or illegal accumulation, the Company may demand civil and criminal liability from members and related users (cooperators and sympathizers).
Article 10. Transfer and Succession
1) In principle, the points accumulated by the member cannot be transferred or succeeded. However, exceptions are applied only in cases falling under Article 5 (3) of this Agreement.
2) In particular, if a member's qualifications are lost or suspended due to <Article 7> of these Terms and
Conditions, transfer or succession is not possible for any reason, and points can only be used when normal member rights are restored.
Article 11. Transfer and Succession
1) The company will destroy all points and existing information of members who withdraw their membership in accordance with <Article 6> of these Terms and Conditions. At this time, in accordance with <Article 9, Paragraph 5) of these Terms and Conditions, all points less than ‘cash exchangeable points’ will also be cancelled. However, in accordance with <Article 27, Paragraph 3) of these Terms and Conditions, the member's cash conversion details can be kept for 5 years.
2) The Company may forcibly cancel all points of a member who has been notified of disqualification due to <Article 7> of these Terms and Conditions as of the date of notification, and the member may not claim any rights thereto.
3) The Company may forcibly extinguish fraudulent conversion and fraudulent accumulation points falling under Article 7 of this Agreement upon notification, and the member cannot claim any rights to this.
Chapter 4.
Service Policy
Article 12. Provision of service
The company installs and operates RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and provides related services to members. The services provided by the company include website and mobile app development/operation, customer service and complaint resolution, and operation of variety programs and cultural activities.
Article 13. Scope of services provide
The company provides the following services to provide better service.
1) RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and operation service: We provide a series of services to install/operate RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine).
2) Website: https://renewlabs.io/home provides business introduction, membership registration, point information, and cash conversion.
3) Mobile app: Provides RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) installation and status, point information, cash conversion, etc. through the AOS/iOS application.
4) Customer Service: We receive customer inquiries and contribution through [email protected] and provide services to resolve requested complaints and contribution.
5) Various cultural activities: We operate programs for members and non-members to experience and educate RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) and related activities.
6) Events and Promotions: The company plans and operates various events and promotions with affiliates and related partners.
7) Miscellaneous: We can provide various services such as achieving the goal of recovering recycled resources, experiential education, and lectures.
Article 14. ID and Password
1) Full members must register their ID and password through the membership registration process specified in <Article 5> of these Terms and Conditions. Associate members use the mobile phone number used when using RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) as their ID, and must additionally register their official ID and password through the membership registration process to be registered as a full member.
2) Members must not disclose or allow use of their ID or password to a third party. If a member becomes aware that his or her ID and password has been stolen by someone else or is being used by a third party for unexpected reasons, he or she must immediately notify the company and follow its instructions.
3) The company shall not be held legally responsible for any damage caused by a member's ID or password being stolen for no reason attributable to the member.
Article 15. Company Obligation
1) The company shell not conduct any acts prohibited by relevant laws and these Terms and Conditions or contradicting traditional custom and shall do its best to provide services in a continuous and stable manner.
2) The company provides information related to the service, such as locating the member's RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), checking the usability status of RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), accumulating points, exchanging points for cash.
3) The company shell establishes a security system for the protection of personal information to ensure members can use services safely, and shall announce and comply with its personal information policy.
4) The company shall address members’ opinions or complaints raised in relation to use of services which are considered reasonable
5) However, the company may suspend or restrict part or all of the website and mobile app services in the following cases.
① When unavoidable reasons occur, such as inspection, breakdown, repair and replacement of information and communication equipment such as servers/systems, or communication interruption.
② When the telecommunication service provider specified in the Telecommunications Business Act suspends telecommunication services
③ When the service cannot be provided due to service failure of the Internet or mobile communication service provider
④ If there is a disruption in the provision of normal services due to equipment failure, excessive usage, power outage, hacking defense, etc.
⑤ In case of force majeure such as national emergency or natural disaster
6) When the company restricts or suspends the use of the service pursuant to <Article 15, Paragraph 3> of these Terms and Conditions, the company must notify members of the reason and period by posting on the website, mobile app, official SNS, etc.
Article 16. Member Obligation
1) Members must comply with the relevant laws, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, the usage guide and notices posted on the service, and matters notified by the Company, and must not engage in any other actions that interfere with the Company's business.
2) Members must not engage in any of the following acts when using the company’s services.
① Violation of the relevant laws and regulations related to the use of these terms and conditions and services
② Any act that intentionally interferes with normal service operation, such as providing false information or stealing other people’s information when applying for use or change to receive the service.
③ Acts of stealing, storing, disclosing, or using information held by the company for unfair purposes by methods other than those normally provided by the company.
④ Copying, duplicating, selling, reselling or transferring all or part of the contents of this service component in violation of the company's intellectual property rights, third party intellectual property rights and other rights, or for the commercial purposes of members or third parties without the consent of the company. the act of doing
⑤ Any act that may be suspected of being related to other crimes or acts prohibited by law.
⑥ Acts of registering or distributing computer virus infection materials that cause malfunction of equipment related to the service or destruction or confusion of information, etc.
⑦ Hacking the company’s services or any actions equivalent to hacking, such as access, forgery, alteration, or deletion.
⑧ Other illegal or unfair actions
3) Members must use the service themselves, and do not allow others to use the service by transferring or lending electronic devices to others. The member himself is solely responsible for the violation.
Article 17. Restrictions on copyright attribution and use
1) All copyrights and other intellectual property rights for works created by the company belong to the company.
2) Members and users shall not use the information and works obtained through the company's website, mobile app, official SNS, etc. for profit or make use of them to a third party by reproducing, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting, or other means without prior consent of the company.
3) The rights and responsibility of the members and users for the posts and contents posted on the company's website, mobile app, official SNS, etc. are on the parties.
4) The company may take measures such as deletion without separate consent if user posts posted on its website, mobile app, or official social media are illegal or impeded by the usual breeze, or if it slanders/condemns other people, products, or services.
Article 18. Provision of advertising and customized information
1) The company may provide advertising information regarding the operation of the service.
2) The Company may provide advertising information and customized information in the form of text messages, mobile app push messages, which are provided only when permitted by law, such as in advance consent to the advertising information.
Article 19. Location information service
1) In accordance with the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Location Information Protection Act"), the company complies with relevant laws such as the Location Information Protection Act, the Information and Communication Network Act, the Framework Act on Telecommunications, and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the personal location data subject
2) The company uses location-based services to provide the functions below, but the collection of member location information is used only to provide map services.

Chapter 5.
Customer Support Policy
Article 20. Customer Support Service
1) The company establishes and operates a separate customer center to resolve member inquiries and various complaints, provide legitimate opinions for service improvement, identify damage to related complaints, and handle compensation.
2) The company shall preferentially deal with civil complaints, complaints, opinions, etc. submitted by members: Provided, that if there is a reason that is difficult to process quickly, the company shall notify the member of the reason and the schedule of processing.
Article 21. Duty to protect customer service workers
1)In accordance with Article 41 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the company shall do its best in accordance with its obligation to protect its customer response workers.
① The company's customer response workers include counselors who run the customer service center, employees who operate RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine), and employees of its affiliates.
② If you verbally abuse, harass, swear words, personal infringement, intimidation, or obstruction of business to a counselor, you may immediately terminate the consultation. If the situation repeats/continues despite such measures, the Company may lose/suspend its membership in accordance with Article 7 of these Terms and Conditions and take follow-up measures accordingly.
③ In the event of deliberately obstructing business, such as abusive language, abusive language, personal infringement, or assault to employees operating Renew Tok (circular resource recovery device), the Company may lose/suspend membership pursuant to Article 7 of this Agreement and take follow-up measures accordingly.
2) In accordance with Article 54 of the Labor Standards Act, the company grants the following break time for
counseling staff, renewal talk (circular resource recovery device) operation staff, and employees of its affiliates. Therefore, customer response is not possible at the following hours.
① CS Representative: (Weekdays) 10:00 AM to 17:00 PM / (Lunch) 12:00 PM – 13:00PM (Closed on holidays and legal holidays) – KST is 14 hours ahead of EST
② RenewTok (Reverse Vending Machine) operating staff and affiliated company staff: (Based on weekdays) Break times and days off vary depending on the work area.
Article 22. Responsibility for Improper use
In accordance with <Article 7> of these Terms and Conditions, the Company may demand civil and criminal liability from members and related users (cooperators and sympathizers).
Article 23. Mediation and resolution of disputes
1) The company may submit disputes arising with members to the mediation of a dispute resolution agency commissioned by the Fairtrade Commission or the city or provincial governor.
2) If resolution is not possible despite the above adjustments, resolution may be made in accordance with following:
① In the event of a dispute with a member, the company takes appropriate and prompt action, reflecting the legitimate opinions or complaints raised by the member. If a reason that is difficult to process quickly occurs, the company notifies the member of the reason and the schedule of processing.
② The Company may be subject to the mediation of the dispute mediation agency commissioned by the Fairtrade Commission or the provincial governor for any dispute arising from the member.
③ If a lawsuit is needed with members, affiliated customers, and other users, the company shall have jurisdiction over the court that has jurisdiction over the company's headquarters, and the matters not prescribed in these terms and conditions and interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of the Republic of Korea.
Chapter 6.
Collection and Protection of Personal Information
Article 24. Collection of personal information
In order to provide accurate service, the company collects and uses personal information only for the purpose agreed upon when registering as a member and within the scope specified in <Article 26> of these Terms and Conditions. For further details, please refer to the company’s "Personal Information Processing Policy (Personal Information Policy)." Collection and Use Agreement)".
1) If the company wishes to collect personal information, it will notify the member of the purpose, and in accordance with the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc., "consent to collection and use of personal information" (for members under 14 years of age, their parents, guardian or legal representative must (including consent) is received. Members may withdraw at any time.
Article 25. Use and provision of personal information
The company cannot use the collected personal information for purposes beyond the scope stated in the "Personal Information Collection and Use Agreement" or provide it to third parties other than those listed. However, the following cases are exceptions.
① When additional information verification is required for member point cash exchange and settlement.
② When the company provides member information (name, address, contact information, etc.) required for delivery to the delivery company for the delivery of products/souvenirs, etc.
③ When there is a serious reason to provide information about a specific member pursuant to government agencies, laws, and related regulations.
④ In case of acquisition, merger, comprehensive business transfer, etc. related to the company.
⑤ When it is necessary to restrict the service of an existing member who has lost membership in relation to <Article 7> of these Terms and Conditions.
⑥ Cases where the company processes and uses (non-identifiable personal information and ADID) a form that does not identify a specific individual for purposes such as advertising/marketing activities, government and academic statistical research, etc.
Article 26. Personal information retention and use period
1) The company retains the collected personal information for the period of time membership is maintained.
2) When a member withdraws membership, the company destroys all personal information held by the member without delay.
3) The company retains the following personal information for a certain period of time in accordance with relevant laws.
① Website visit records: Retained for 3 months (Communication Secrets Protection Act)
② Records related to identity verification: kept for 6 months (Information and Communications Network Act)
③ Records of display/advertisement: kept for 6 months (Electronic Commerce Act)
④ Records on contracts or subscription withdrawals: kept for 5 years (Electronic Commerce Act)
⑤ Records of payment and supply of goods, etc.: kept for 5 years (Electronic Commerce Act)
⑥ Records of consumer complaints or dispute resolution: kept for 3 years (Electronic Commerce Act)
⑦ Electronic financial records: kept for 5 years (Electronic Financial Transactions Act)
4) Additional details regarding personal information, such as destruction, provision and consignment to third parties, can be found in the company’s "Personal Information Processing Policy (Personal Information Collection and Use Agreement)."
Chapter 7.
Term and Condition in General
Article 27. Changes and suspension of services
1) The company may change or suspend the contents of the service in the following situations.
① When there is a change in the company's main business direction, such as business transfer, merger, or division.
② If there is a change in the company’s key personnel, such as a change in the representative or key management.
③ In the event of a major disruption that makes service unsustainable, such as a change in the market profit model or abolition/integration of business divisions
④ Cases where the company is unable to conduct business due to unavoidable circumstances, etc.
2) If the service suspension is not completed at once, the company may terminate all services. The company must notify members 3 months prior to the service termination date by applying the method prescribed in <Article 3, Paragraph 3, ③>.
3) All personal information, various records, member reward points, etc. held by the company will be permanently deleted on the service termination date. Therefore, points cannot be accumulated through the company or affiliates after the service termination date, and points lost upon service termination will not be restored.
Article 28. Compensation for damages
1) If the following situations occur, the member is responsible for compensating the company for damages.
① If a member violates the obligations of these Terms of Use and causes damage to the company
② If a member causes damage to the company in connection with the use of the company’s services
③ If damage is caused by infringing on other company's copyrights, patents, etc.
2) The company may objectively prove and claim damages caused by its members, or file a lawsuit in accordance with relevant laws and business practices.
Supplementary Provisions: Public announcement and effective date
1) This Terms and Conditions shall be enforced after the announcement as follows, and shall take effect immediately from the effective date.
① Announcement date: December 26, 2022
② Effective date: January 26, 2023
2) The company's terms and conditions applied prior to the effective date of these Terms and Conditions will be replaced by these Terms and Conditions.
